This design demonstrates the use of the trigger features in the DesignWorks Simulator. This demonstration requires DesignWorks™ 4.0 and the DesignWorks Simulator. To try this file:
• If not already done, start DesignWorks in the usual way and open the file Trigger Glitch Test Demo. This circuit periodically generates a short pulse on the GLITCH signal.
• On the Timing tool palette, click the Disp Off button. This disables the timing display, allowing the simulation to run much faster. After some amount of time, the simulation will reach the point where the glitch occurs and the display will be re-enabled and the simulation will stop.
• To view the trigger setup that created this action, click on the Triggers button on the Timing tool palette, or use the Triggers command in the Simulation menu. Trigger T1 is being used for glitch detection and trigger T2 is being used to generate reference lines.
To add more signals to the timing display:
• Select any number of signals in the circuit diagram, by the usual methods.
• Select the Add to Timing command in the Simulation menu. New traces are normally added to the bottom of the display unless they had a previously-stored position.
To remove signals from the timing display:
• Bring the Timing display to the front.
• Hold the Command (Apple) key pressed while clicking on the name of the signal you want to remove.
